Eighteen months after the closing of TGI Fridays on Rockville Pike, we’re hearing a new restaurant is about to lease the space. We can’t reveal the name yet, but we can say it’s an upscale national chain that will be new to the Rockville area. The Pike Center strip mall, once home to Bagel City and Cici’s Pizza, has languished with multiple vacancies since the pandemic. TGI Fridays closed at the beginning of 2025, and plans for an Asian food hall came and went. If this new national restaurant signs on as expected, it could mark the turning point for a wave of fresh tenants at Pike Center. Stay tuned to Store Reporter for the latest.
