Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings, a Michelin-recommended New York favorite, has opened its first Maryland location in the Dining Terrace at Westfield Montgomery mall. In addition to its signature dumplings, the Shanghai-style restaurant also serves rice and noodle dishes, soups, scallion pancakes, fried pork chops and other traditional Chinese cuisine. The elegant dining room marks an entirely new look for this space, which was originally built for Naples Ristorante (opened in 2015, closed in 2017) and later housed the equally short-lived Urban Plates (opened in 2019, closed in 2021).
Next up on the mall’s dining scene: Mâmân Joon Kitchen, Esvin’s Bagels & Cafe, Kami Ramen Bar and the pan-Asian Shiki Bistro.
