Mavi, a Turkish denim brand that’s expanding into the U.S. market, is joining the upcoming lineup at Westfield Montgomery mall. The new store will take over the former Lululemon space, now that Lululemon has relocated to larger quarters across the hall.
In other mall news:
- Seasonal shop Sheepskin Gifts and Alpaca Too has returned for its winter residency, this time on the lower level of the Nordstrom wing.
- Tumi has completed renovations and moved back to its original space in the Nordstrom wing.
- Zara will be relocating to the mall’s second level, taking over the space between Tumi and Johnston & Murphy. (As we previously reported, Urban Outfitters and Foot Locker are also relocating.)
- Below Zero, offering skin care treatments and products, has opened on the second level next to California Pizza Kitchen.
- Warby Parker, Arc’teryx and Hollister are still on track to open before the holidays.

I heard from Aritzia Georgetown that they are under negotiations with Westfield for a location in Montgomery but not official yet, Westfield Montgomery also seems to be suddenly following them on social media. Could this be a sign? Or could Aritzia be occupying Zara or Urban’s former space?

ZARA Is just taking up space for no reason, there current location is perfect. They just need to renovate where they are, but I guess it’s fine.
Abercrombie on the other hand is really cluttered, they need to make a seperate abercrombie kids, and Abercrombie & Fitch store like back then.
Seems like this mall is thriving isn’t it? But do you guys know or guess what retailer would possibly take over the former Forever 21 space? It’s been empty for almost a year now. Yikes

We don’t yet know who will take the Forever 21 space. We continue to hear rumors that Aritzia is coming to the mall. Would they would take that Forever 21 space or an empty space in the Nordstrom wing? However things play out, you’ll read about it in Store Reporter.

Have you guys spoken with mall management about the upcoming HeyTea and Aritzia being talked about? I really want HeyTea in the mall and Artizia Tysons is too far
