J.Crew reopened this week in its new space at Westfield Montgomery mall, directly across the aisle from its original location. The move gives the longtime retailer a fresh new look, while leaving yet another vacant storefront in the mall’s half-empty Nordstrom wing. Rumors are flying about what might be next for this section of Westfield Montgomery. We’re hearing that Zara might expand into a huge new flagship store, and also that women’s retailer Aritzia could be on the way. But the mall has been mum on all of it — including when (or even if) its long-planned expansion is really going to happen.
