Good news for moviegoers at Pike & Rose: The iPic isn’t going anywhere. The Boca Raton-based theater chain, which filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy for the second time earlier this year, has been acquired by CMX Cinemas. The deal included nine of iPic’s 12 theaters, including the one in North Bethesda. The iPic name will remain — as will that of its adjoining City Perch restaurant — and CMX says existing memberships and gift cards will be honored. iPic was one of the original tenants when Pike & Rose opened in 2014, and also one of the first theaters in the country to offer cocktails and upscale snacks delivered to moviegoers’ seats. The Pike & Rose location is the chain’s only theater in the D.C. area.
