Following up on our September report that Fontina Grille would be leaving King Farm, the popular Italian restaurant has now revealed its new address. Fontina is building out a 5,000-square-foot space on the ground floor of The Laureate, a new apartment building near the Shady Grove Metro at Columbus Avenue and Gramercy Boulevard. Owner Ali Abduljabbar, who has operated Fontina Grille for most of its 25 years, began searching for a new space after lease negotiations with his current landlord broke down. The restaurant will remain open at King Farm until construction at The Laureate is complete — tentatively fall 2026.
