David’s Bridal, which filed bankruptcy last April for the second time in five years, got yet another chance at survival this week when a new bidder stepped up to the altar. Cion, a New York asset management firm, has agreed to pay off some of the 70-year-old company’s debt and take over the leases at 200 of its 300-ish stores. This also means that many of David’s 9,000 workers will be able to keep their jobs. David’s has a longtime store at Federal Plaza on Rockville Pike.
