Ron David Studio, the D.C. boutique that expanded to Potomac in July, has cleared out of its space after a three-month stay at Cabin John Village (pictured here). Owner Ron David Edwards initially presented himself as a “designer” who manufactures his own clothing — but Store Reporter later learned that much of what he sold can be found at a fraction of the price on websites like AliExpress.com. (For more on the Ron David situation, click here.) Meanwhile, two new boutiques are heading to Cabin John with plans for a much longer stay. Jurisdiction Clothing, a new store owned by a local attorney, will be opening in the next couple of weeks. (Click here for more on Jurisdiction.) And Apricot Lane, a national chain headed by a local franchisee, has started building out its space just across the street. (Click here for more on Apricot Lane.) The two stores will anchor Cabin John’s newly created central corridor.
