On the local ice cream news beat, it’s not clear whether Baskin Robbins will be making a comeback in Potomac after all. Back in March, when the ice cream store exited Cabin John Village, owners told us they would soon be reopening at Potomac Woods Plaza. But three months have passed, and the shopping center’s reps tell us Baskin Robbins still hasn’t signed a lease. The space in question remains occupied by its longtime tenant, the clothing store Ibhana, whose owner Meena Tharmaratnam is in no rush to leave. Meanwhile, she just gained a new neighbor: Inspire Nail Bar is now open in the former Acu-Spa space.
