Aerie, the white-hot lingerie and activewear brand from American Eagle, is heading to Westfield Montgomery mall. Opening this summer on the mall’s lower level – right between Under Armour and Lolli & Pops – this will be the retailer’s first full-sized store in Montgomery County. Aerie has been one of pandemic’s great success stories, raking in sales of $1 billion for 2020 and adding another 50 stores by the end of 2021. Riding the popularity of loungewear, fitness wear and work-from-home culture, the brand also has gained fans with its body-positive messaging, unretouched photos, and models of all shapes and sizes. Aerie is the second major activewear store on the way to Montgomery County: Athleta also is opening next month at Congressional Plaza.
