Arc’teryx opened its doors this week at Westfield Montgomery mall, giving the outdoor apparel brand its first standalone store in Maryland. Arc’teryx is best known for its high-end technical jackets, parkas and climbing gear, which are popular with winter sports enthusiasts and also a favorite of Gen Z. (The company’s name comes from the Archaeopteryx, an ancient fossil that’s considered a link between dinosaurs and birds.) You’ll find Arc’teryx on the mall’s lower level, just down the aisle from the new Lululemon.
