Mango Mango Dessert, a cafe dedicated entirely to the juicy fruit, opened its doors this week at Rockville’s Congressional Plaza. The New York-based chain offers an Asian-inspired menu that ranges from ice cream, cakes, crepes, waffles, sticky rice and “snowcloud” bowls to fruit teas, bubble teas, smoothies and lattes. This is the second time Mango Mango has landed in Montgomery County; another location, under different ownership, had a short run at Downtown Crown during the pandemic. At Congressional Plaza, Mango Mango may have found its sweet spot: It sits right between Starbucks and Häagen-Dazs.
