If you and your furry friends have been hoping for Bark Social to make a comeback at Pike & Rose, we have some bad news: Owner Federal Realty has revealed plans to replace the once-popular dog park/beer garden with a new retail and office building. Bark Social, which had a lively three-year run, has sat empty since its parent company abruptly went out of business in 2024. Two other locations, in Baltimore and Columbia, have since reopened under new ownership. But according to the Washington Business Journal, Pike & Rose is going in a non-canine direction. Bark Social’s space will now be home to a large retail store on the ground floor, with several stories of offices above. Who is the mystery retail tenant, and how soon will this happen? Stay tuned to Store Reporter for the latest.
