Piccoli Piatti, the newest venture from Fish Taco founder Francis Namin, is set to open its doors next week at Wildwood. The cuisine this time is Italian, with a broad menu featuring salads, pastas, small plates and authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas. Also: bottles of wine for a flat $20, and a signature dessert pizza topped with bananas, strawberries and Nutella. (All crusts, including the dessert pizza, will be available gluten-free.) The restaurant will offer socially distanced seating inside and a couple of tables outside, but for now Namin expects that most of his customers will choose takeout. “We won’t be doing any delivery,” he says. “I think our food will be good enough that people won’t mind coming by to pick it up.” As for Fish Taco, which has been closed since August due to a kitchen fire, Namin says he’s hoping to reopen this month.
