Wegmans has set an opening date of June 25th on Rockville Pike, where the 80,000-square-foot grocery store will be the crown jewel of the upcoming Twinbrook Quarter development. But Wegmans isn’t the only tenant that’s opening at Twinbrook in the next few months. Its neighbors will include:
- Terra Gaucha, a Fogo de Chão-like Brazilian steakhouse featuring an all-you-can-eat “hot-and-cold” buffet and fire-roasted meats carved at your table.
- Genki Wagyu House, a fine-dining restaurant specializing in the pricey Japanese beef.
- Fast-casual ZiZa Kabob, serving halal Afghan dishes.
- Bubble tea shop Molly Tea, carrying a variety of jasmine-infused drinks.
- A nail salon is also on the way, and there are several more ground-floor spaces still left to be filled.

Hello! Wegmans in Twinbrook Quarter is opening in 2026. Your article implies that it is opening this June 25th. None of the space is built out yet and so there is no way that they would open this year. I live in the neighborhood. Keep up the great work!

Wegmans is in fact scheduled to open in June 2025! Whatever construction they have left to do, it appears they’ll be able to get it done by then.
