Eighteen months after Gregorio’s announced plans for a new location at Park Potomac, owner Greg Kahn tells us the wheels are finally in motion. He says the project has been delayed primarily by issues regarding replacement of the HVAC and ventilation system — the same problem that helped drive out the previous tenant, Sugo. “We’re about a year behind schedule,” Kahn says. “Instead of opening last October as planned, we’re hoping to open next September.” Regardless of the timing of this new location, Kahn says Gregorio’s will also be staying put at Cabin John Village. In fact, he just signed another 10-year lease there. “On Friday and Saturday nights, we have a two-hour wait for delivery and 90 minutes for carry-out,” Kahn says. “The new place will help us serve all the customers that we’re turning away right now.”
