It’s almost time to say bonjour to Boulangerie Christophe at Cabin John Village. The French bakery, expanding here from its original location in Georgetown, will be open by early May in the brand new building across from the Cabin John mini-mall. The menu will feature baguettes, croissants, quiche, cakes, pies, tarts and pastries — all baked on site, along with freshly prepared salads, sandwiches, omelets, crêpes and waffles. And to drink: wine, beer and Illy coffee. “This location has a wood oven, so the bread here will be even better than the bread in Georgetown,” says co-owner Didier Martin. For those who prefer to stay away from such high-calorie fare, we have some other big news: Chopt has been confirmed as the tenant moving in next door.
