Sad news for Rockville’s Congressional Plaza: Beer & Wine Cellar has closed its doors. Owner Joseph Gomes ran the shop for more than a decade, including a 2019 expansion that added food and outdoor seating. Meanwhile, a similar business just opened in downtown Rockville: The Lady Vintner (pictured on the right) offers craft wine, beer and snacks at 42 Maryland Avenue. This is the space that previously belonged to Pour Vino ‘n Hops.
