Big Wheel Bikes is closing its Potomac Village location after a 12-year run on Falls Road. Owner Mike Sendar, who started the business 50 years ago, says he’s cutting back to four stores due to his health and lack of inventory. “There’s a shortage of bikes” due to pandemic-related supply issues, he says. “We can’t even stock the existing stores as it is.” Sendar says his Bethesda and Georgetown stores will remain open, along with two locations in Virginia.
