Wonder, a New York-based takeout and delivery chain that’s rapidly expanding across the country, opened its doors this week on Rockville Pike. Wonder lets you mix and match dishes from multiple restaurants in a single order, including offerings from celebrity chefs like Bobby Flay and Marcus Samuelsson. At the North Bethesda location, diners can choose from menus featuring Greek, Italian, Mexican, Indian, Chinese and Thai cuisines, along with salads, wraps, burgers, wings and desserts. Most of the food is prepared and partially cooked offsite, then finished at Wonder after you place an order online or through in-store kiosks. There’s a bit of seating on the premises, but the majority of customers just grab their bags and go. You’ll find Wonder at the Towne Plaza shopping center, a few doors down from Tatte and California Fish Grill.
