This week we got a sneak peek at Sisters, the Thai restaurant that’s set to open in May next to Shake Shack at Cabin John Village. The vibe inside is decidedly artsy/funky, with movie theater-style signage and multiple seating areas, including a cozy living room complete with bookshelves and fireplace. The restaurant will offer a full bar overlooking the outdoor courtyard, as well as a dessert counter serving Thai coffee, shaved ice and baked goods from the Magnolia sweet shop in Vienna. Magnolia is a “sister” to Sisters and a favorite of Instagrammers for its honey toast and elaborately decorated bathrooms. (And the bathrooms at Cabin John will not disappoint: The men’s room is decked out with “windows” overlooking 3D views of New York City.)
