When Tupperware Brands filed Chapter 11 this week, social media exploded with people waxing nostalgic about the colorful Cake Takers and Wonderlier Bowls handed down from their moms and grandmas. The 77-year-old company plans to remain in business as it works through the bankruptcy process, seeking a buyer who can figure out how to market its pricey-but-durable plastic containers to younger shoppers. While the brand is still sold person-to-person at its famous Tupperware Parties, some items can also be found on the shelves of national retailers. If you want to check out today’s Tupperware products in person, there’s a small selection available at Target in Rockville and Macy’s Home at Westfield Montgomery mall.
