In another blow to the high-end shopping scene at Rockville’s Congressional Plaza, Neiman Marcus Last Call Studio is permanently closing its doors. The Dallas-based retailer is bucking the discount trend by shuttering most of its Last Call chain to focus on customers who don’t mind paying full price. The Congressional Plaza location has temporarily reopened to sell through its remaining inventory, all of which has been heavily marked down. Last Call’s departure, scheduled for Aug. 15th, comes less than a year after the closing of Saks Off 5th at the other end of Congressional Plaza.
