Months after the closing of Value City Furniture in Rockville, another furniture store is set to take its place at Montrose Crossing. This time it’s MD Furniture, a Laurel-based chain with three other locations throughout the state. MD’s website says its furniture is “European-style,” but doesn’t reveal anything about the company’s history or where its pieces are sourced. Opening date is TBD for MD Furniture in the space next door to Marshalls, which was previously the longtime home of Sports Authority.
