This week we say goodbye to Marlo Furniture, which is closing its doors after more than three decades on Rockville Pike. The Marlo chain, which dates back 70 years, was acquired by Regency Furniture in 2012. Regency also owns a bunch of Ashley Furniture stores, which apparently are staying open while the six Marlo locations go dark. Rockville’s Marlo will close around the end of September, leaving 200,000 square feet of empty space in a prominent spot on the Pike.
