Coffee is brewing again in the center of Westfield Montgomery mall, nearly a decade after Peet’s built and then quickly abandoned this “open-air” lounge. A succession of food vendors have operated in the space over the years, from ice cream (Moorenko’s) to edible cookie dough (Cookie Dough & Co.) to holiday-season cocktails (the Jingle Lounge). Startup business KaFean Koffee serves espresso drinks from Viennese brand Julius Meinl, as well as drip coffee, tea, matcha drinks, hot chocolate, fruit-infused “refreshers” and a variety of baked goods. You’ll find KaFean on the mall’s lower level, across from the Lego store.
