California Tortilla has gone dark at Cabin John Village — but happily, this particular closing is only temporary. The fast-casual Mexican chain is moving to a lighter color palette and a Cava-style ordering system, where diners can modify their meal as it goes down the assembly line. The Cabin John location is also getting a new layout, with a much larger patio for outdoor seating. The renovation is expected to be done sometime this spring.
