Amalfi Ristorante Italiano, a Rockville institution since 1977, has been sold to the owners of Chef Tony’s on Pooks Hill Road. Tony Marciante, who co-owns the two restaurants with wife Sonia, says he will blend their menus but hold onto favorites like Amalfi’s white pizza. Amalfi, at 12307 Wilkins Ave., is closed for a facelift and will reopen under the name Chef Tony’s@Amalfi.
